HAMPTON
Celebrate Healthcare will host its 4th Annual Juneteenth Freedomfest, honoring fathers and all families on Sunday, June 15th, from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Mill Point Park, located at 100 Eaton Street in Hampton.
This year’s fest will present the legendary R&B group, the Soulful Tenors, featuring former lead vocalists from the Delfonics and Blue Magic. Adding to the excitement is Hampton’s own Brian Darden, known as B.D.i.i., who recently captivated audiences on “The Voice!”
In addition, a Jazz, Blues, and R&B Jam Session will be held with top local artists.
The festival is free and will provide healthcare screenings, health insurance enrollment, community resources, a Mobile History Museum, engaging kids’ activities, and a variety of vendors and food trucks. In celebration of Men’s Health Month, dads are encouraged to attend and get a free health check-up.
Other entertainment includes a vibrant cultural arts lineup featuring community conversations, African drummers, spoken word performances, and so much more!
Fest-goers are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs.
