On Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024 at 6 p.m., the long awaited and overdue Sentara-EVMS Comprehensive Sickle Cell Program came to fruition. Like giving birth, finally, we got to see the results of our community activism efforts to bring about support and justice for our sickle cell patients in the Hampton Roads area.

All came out to celebrate the grand opening of our new Comprehensive Sickle Cell Clinic.
The new clinic offers a range of services to support the health and well-being of sickle cell patients, including comprehensive care and in-house psychiatry services.
