Dominion Energy Highlights NPS and SC State During MEAC Tourney

NORFOLK
Dominion Energy helped to kick off this year’s NCAA MEAC Tournament in Norfolk with a $3,000 check to Norfolk Public Schools (NPS). The energy company and the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference have partnered on a program to promote literacy in NPS. Also, Dominion Energy highlighted its $1-million grant to South Carolina State which was competing that night against Morgan State. The grant supports SCSU’s expansion of engineering programs, new faculty and upgrades to campus laboratories. It’s part of Dominion Energy’s HBCU Promise education equity initiative, supporting Historically Black Colleges and Universities in the states where the company operates – Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Ohio. Norfolk State University and Hampton University have also received funds.
