5th Annual 900 Men Strong Breakfast on April 1

NORFOLK

Dr. David M. Anderson Sr. is coming to Hampton Roads as the Keynote Speaker of the 6th Annual 900 Men Strong Scholarship and Community Service Awards Breakfast Saturday April 1, 2017, 8:30 a.m. at the Founders Inn & Spa in Virginia Beach.

Dr. Anderson is a dynamic motivational speaker from Atlanta, Georgia who inspires audiences across the country on Black Wealth and Economic Empowerment. He is the Founder of the only 100 percent wholly owned Black Talk Radio Network in the United States and is the executive film producer of the film Black Friday which features Hill Harper, Judge Hatchet, Cynthia Bailey and David Banner.

Dr. Anderson received the 2015 Power Networking Entrepreneur of the Year Award from the New York Times Best Seller Dr. George C. Fraser of Frasernet at the 2015 Power Networking Conference for his work in developing the Empowerment Radio Network.   Dr.  Anderson is a highly sought after speaker in the world of Business Finance, Real Estate and Broadcast Entrepreneurship and has spoken to audiences of thousands.

He is a successful author and entrepreneur and is currently completing his new book “The Rules to Entrepreneurship,” which educates readers on how to enter into the field of entrepreneurship and succeed.

The 900 Men Strong Scholarship and Community Services Awards breakfast is an all male event! Young  boys will be attending from the Boys and Girls Clubs, Y.M.C.A., local high schools, the Boy Scouts and communities throughout Hampton Roads.

In the first five years since 2011, this breakfast has provided excellent networking among community, political, educational, faith base and business leaders throughout Hampton Roads.

This breakfast has delivered over $35,000 in scholarships to high school boys attending college, attracted over 1,900 men and boys in attendance and recognized 20 men with the distinguished W.H.Gray Community Service Award. They include Dr. Toney McNair, 2016 Virginia Teacher of the Year, Mr. Leonard Parson, and Mr. Elisha (Cadillac) Harris. Also, scholarships will be awarded to five male local College Bound High School Seniors.

Each year the breakfast has successfully galvanized men throughout Hampton Roads who are being role models to young men by attending the breakfast. This year’s breakfast will once again have a special collaboration of Law Enforcement and Youth in attendance to strengthen the relationship between law enforcement and youth in our communities.

Your support is vital to increasing the post secondary scholarship opportunities to high school seniors and reducing the up to 50 percent  annual drop out rate of young men across the nation leaving high school each year.

Dr. Anderson is a proven leader who will provide some inspiring remarks that speak to empowering Men to step up and make a difference in the lives of our young men.
