2nd Annual Heritage Event Awards Six
VIRGINIA BEACH
The African American Culture Center of Excellence (AACCE) organization hosted its “2nd Annual Heritage Breakfast” on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at the Virginia Beach Resort & Conference Center. This breakfast was to honor individuals who have helped shaped and made outstanding contributions in the various communities in Hampton Roads.
These recipients have shown great leadership in the roles in which they are currently or past held. Through their excellent work they are just a few who stand out in the community.
Those honored were Mrs. Olivia Lawrence Dabney, Rev. Dr. Todd Davidson, Mrs. Edna Hawkins Hendrix, Mrs. Sadie Daughtry Shaw, Honorable Sandra Smith-Jones, and Mrs. Esther Grimstead Wilson.
AACCE was established to focus its concerns on the cultural needs of the African American Community and establish a state of the art Cultural Center in Virginia Beach.
