For Malcolm Shabazz, grandson of Malcolm X, trouble seemed to come easy.
His troubles began in 1997, when at age 12 he plead guilty to setting fire to the apartment of his grandmother, Betty Shabazz, that resulted in her death in New York. As a result, young Malcolm spent four years in juvenile detention centers.

Saint Augustine’s University will not acquire financial and administrative control of Saint Paul’s College in Lawrenceville, according to statements issued late last week from officials of both of the Historically Black Institutions.
The decision comes six months after Saint Augustine’s in North Carolina announced it was “considering” a plan to acquire the 125-year-old Virginia college which lost its accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools in late 201l.

When Jason Collins made the announcement – “I am a 34-year-old NBA Center. I’m Black. And I’m Gay,”–he made history as being the first active professional athlete to openly admit it.
Collins explained his varying reasons for going public in a May issue of Sports Illustrated.
Since then, Collins has received considerable applause from some segments of the population for creating this historic moment. Gay Rights advocates have said this was anticipated and will inspire other athletes to step out from their closet door of secrecy about their sexuality.
