Inspirational Message: Jesus Displays Power Over Our Many Problems!

Jesus in His mission quickly became the most popular teacher in Galilee which probably made the established teachers wild with jealousy!  How was He treated?

They (the Jews) immediately hated Jesus and plotted His death.

(1) He was attacked and harassed.

(2) He was accused of breaking the law when He healed on the Sabbath (John 9).

(3) His question left them speechless, so they tried to kill Him (John 10).

(4) When Jesus gave sight to a blind man on the Sabbath, He was called a sinner. (John 9)

(5) A mother persisted in faith when her daughter was troubled by a demon (Matt. 15).

Jesus explained to His disciples that His personal mission was only to the people of Israel.  Jesus praised this woman’s faith and set her daughter free from the demons.  This reminds us that Jesus’ salvation is meant for all people of our world!  Let us continue to thank God for Jesus daily as we pray and give Him praises each day.  His teachings miraculously spotlight times when His divine power confronted and met human needs!  Some prime examples include:

(1) Changing water to wine (John 2: 1-11)

(2) Passing through a hostile crowd (Luke 4: 28-30)

(3) Casting out demons (Mark 5: 1-20)

(4) Predicting a coin in a fish (Matthew 17: 24-27)

(5) Appearing in closed room (John 20: 19)

These are only a few miracles with a message. John concludes his account of Jesus’ life by saying “and many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of His disciples which are not written in this book but these are written, that ye might have life through His name”  (John 20: 30-31).

It may be well for us to remember that Jesus not only adds years to our lives; He adds life to the years He gives us!  We serve an awesome God who helps us to discern the envy of the Jerusalem teachers who called Jesus a sinner when He gave sight on a Sabbath to a man born blind. (John 9).  The man resisted their harassment and declared his faith in Jesus.  As we grow spiritually, we must resist temptations to do wrong and follow the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Let us continue to search our hearts and minds to discover ways to tell others about the love of Jesus and His power.  The gospel of John tells us how Jesus reached out beyond His usual circle to share God’s love through Jesus Christ.  How can more people be reached today?

What can we do as a group or individually to encourage others?  How can prayers of commitment help us to reach others? We can never thank God through Jesus Christ enough for the truth set forth so plainly in the Bible.  Let us always tell the truth and tell it with love!
