I found it quite interesting that a gathering of the area’s Southside mayors should be in agreement that something be done as to the effects of sequestration.
However, this call is nothing new as it relates to the necessity of business diversity for Hampton Roads. Myself, as well as other community and business leaders, made such a request for discussion for Hampton Roads to reduce its dependency on the military presence well over 20 years ago.
