By Elder Gerald DeForest Tyler

The man Christ Jesus was the only man ever born to die as far as I know. All the rest of us human beings were created, made, or born to live forever, that is to say, throughout all eternity, and we will eventually. When God created mankind, Adam and then Eve, he created them perfect and without sin so that they could live forever, and he wasn’t concerned with death because they were created to live and not die. Jesus was born to die, not mankind. He was born to die in order to satisfy the Holy God, who after Eve and Adam sinned in disobedience to his commandment, required that their sin-debt be paid-in-full. Jesus paid it all. And Jesus Christ was the only person who could pay that sin-debt thereby pleasing Almighty God on behalf of all mankind. “Jesus Died For Me … And You Too!”

You see, God loved his created human race of peoples, so much so, that he refused to allow us to be eternally lost or eternally separated from him without a plan of salvation, even after our fore-parents, Adam and Eve sinned against this loving and Holy Creator God. He required that sin be paid for knowing that when sin is conceived it bringeth forth death (i.e. permanent separation). And what God Almighty requires he also provides. Think about that for a moment, now isn’t that the best gift one can possibly get? God both required and provided the sin-debt payment in his only begotten Son, Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Here’s what John The Revelator said in Saint John 3:16, “For God so loved the world (i.e., his peoples), that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever (that means you, me, and everyone else ever born and yet unborn) believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Then Jesus himself picked it up and said in Saint John 10:28, “And I give unto them (i.e., all true-believers) eternal life; and they shall never perish,” meaning that all true-believers will never be lost again once we’re genuinely saved or born again. Born into the Family of God and the Body of Christ. What a precious gift for all who will believe and receive it by faith. The gift of eternal or everlasting life provided and given to mankind by God himself through his only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. Yes, “Jesus Died For Me … And You Too!”

If you are “truly saved,” that is, if you have been born again into the Family of God and the Body of Christ, then don’t believe the devil’s hyped-lie that you can lose your God-given gift of eternal life. The God I serve doesn’t give his children eternal life and take it back, nor can we lose it. The devil is a liar! Think about this, by definition even, it wouldn’t be eternal or everlasting life as promised by both God and Jesus, if it didn’t last forever as the Bible declares. God loves his children with an everlasting and unconditional love to be sure, but be certain you’re his child rather than just giving mere lip-service as so many “professed” Christians do today. Jesus said of this type, “They honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me” (Saint Matthew 15:8).

Read and believe for your own self what’s written by the Holy Spirit via the Apostle Paul found in Romans 8:34-39, especially where it declares that, “Nothing shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” “Jesus Died For Me…And You Too!” Please understand this, I couldn’t save myself nor can I keep myself saved. God saved me for Christ’s sake and it is God who’s keeping me saved for Christ’s sake…throughout all eternity, Hallelujah!
