Marriner’s Moments: Emerging Victoriously: A New Day – Part 4

By Pastor Melvin O. Marriner

Each New Year presents us with challenges and opportunities. It’s up to us to decide if we – as master gardeners and overseers of our vineyard – will emerge victoriously, or allow our harvest dwindle or die. God has given us the power and purpose to pursue and attain our dreams and goals, and to handle whatever storms life sends our way, but we must be vigilant and prepared. Moreover, we cannot allow the unexpected storms of life to wash away or diminish our hopes and goals.

When we experience a season of bountifulness – as good stewards – we must put store up residuals for seasons of drought. We must work to ensure that our roots are firmly planted and nurture our spirits on a daily basis at the feet of Christ. Building time with God into our daily routine helps ensure that when the storms of life come – and they will – be can be strong, stand steadfast and handle the winds of change that would seek to destroy the seeds of hope, faith and trust that we have planted.

What kind of crop will emerge in your garden in 2017? Will it yield bountiful fruit – enough to for you and enough to sustain and feed others – or will your crop wither and die from lack of care, attention and nurturing? We have choices. We can become villains, victors or victims. We can become master gardeners – where others are amazed at the fruit we yield and share in the benefits of our garden – or we can lay dormant, dead, disillusioned; bearing no fruit.

I choose to emerge victoriously and I encourage you to join me!

”Peace and power
