The Buffalow Family and Friends’ Warm and Fuzzy Annual Christmas Give-away was a huge success.
On Monday night, December 19, close to 300 people came to the Dr. Clarence Cuffee Community Center to pick up some free goodies. Local community parents and many families from the South Norfolk area made their Christmas shopping in one place rather easy.
I can’t say enough about the Buffalow Family and the volunteers who measure their time each year to make this event so special for so many families. As always, everything this year was captured at its appropriate time and moved along swiftly. This included prayer, set up, eating, raffle giveaways, and helping those who needed special care and clean-up.
This love for community is catching on like wild fire. Yes, it does cost time on this specific venture, but you know as soon as you see the children’s and parents’ faces light up, you know you have done the right thing.
This day was a good day … people understand that the Buffalow Family and Friends care about them, not by talk but by action. Thanks to everyone for a job well done … see you on the next project.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from the Buffalow Family and Friends’ Warm and Fuzzy Christmas team. God Bless.
